WOYWW Scrapping Memories

Weather was pretty dreadful over the past week - but we struck lucky on Saturday for our trip to Cardiff and we got to wander round the Bay in the sunshine before a Latino lunch at one of our favourites - Las Iguanas - and the matinee of the Jersey Boys which we enjoyed too !
We are always amazed that so many of the cast are so talented but aren't at all well known, fate & luck who makes it to be a household name I suppose !

Sunday it tipped it down & has kept this up for most of the week !
So it was a day of house chores & scrapping !

I have found that if I don't get my derrière in gear and scrap things promptly after they happen, then they tend never to make it into my album ! We had created some lovely memories when my family came to stay so I pushed on to get as many of these down in layouts as I could !

Here are my efforts - some are still pretty much just the photos added so far but I can go back and add details as I go !

We had a fun couple of hours Beach-combing on
Llansteffan beach at low tide ...

And really enjoyed Dyffryn Gardens and Dinefwr House - the Red Kite feeding was a bit of a non-event though !

And a stroll in the Mumbles is always fun ! Especially with wine & pizza involved !

So on my desk - and spilling out onto my "extra room" table - tonight are some partly scrapped items patiently waiting their turn to feature on a layout !
Just showing off my new comfy chair which I had to splash out on as the back had gone on the old one !

Lynda & I have completed the July tag challenge - this month was "Chalkboard & Die Cuts" - a bit of a daunting combination but we both gave it a good go !

Lynda went with celebrating her end of term and summer holiday - just rubbing it in for those of us still chained to the office !!

And I used my JOFY stamps !

So our Tag Collection is getting quite big as we approach Month 8 - "Glitter & Glam and Mica Powders" for us this August !

And when the rain did stop for half an hour I did take a few photos to show what it would be like if we ever got out into it !! Everything lush & verdant !
Have a great crafty week - hope it stays dry for you !!
Love Ali xx

  1. Would love to see the Jersey Boys! lucky you... the scrapped pages look great, well done for getting those ones done - you've been busy! Hoping it stays dry too, off to Stamperama at Stevenage on Sunday, always better if you can stay dry with your bags of stash! Helen 5

  2. Brilliant that you got all your scrapping done. We haven't been so fortunate with the weather and Robert's Mum but have managed to go a few places. I hope to get out in the garden tomorrow when Robert takes her back! Fingers crossed.

  3. Well done on scrapping so promptly! I think I'd have to do that too as things get put away and forgotten :-). The weather was better here on Saturday too, which is good as we held a BBQ for band friends. I'm glad you had a good afternoon in Cardiff, it's great around the Bay Area isn't it? Owen has left uni there now, so we won't be seeing Cardiff for a while I guess.....
Like your new craft chair too!

  4. We have been having quite a bit of rain here too but it's great for the garden. I've had a bit of a hard time keeping up with mowing grass and picking veggies from the garden.

  6. I enjoyed reading your post and looking at your scrapbook pages of your lovely holiday. Good for you that you immediately do them. You are right: They'd never get done unless you start now.
    The tags are gorgeous!
And your garden looks lush! I'm really sorry that the weather is so foul. I suppose if you didn't have the rain your garden wouldn't grow....
    have a good week,

  8. You have been a very busy scrapper! Well done you. I now have a gazillion photos to print from my week-end with Frank Garcia and lets not go into how many other photos still need printing... I hear you when it comes to doing it as soon as possible after the photos were taken or the moment and momentum is lost. Your garden looks great and I remember the set up of your raised veg bed, it looks well utilized. #45

  9. Ali, love all your scrap pages! And I agree, if I don't do it right away, I have trouble getting them scrapped. That is why I do better with trips, doing a whole album about the trip! Everyday stuff sometimes never makes it to an album. Still like your photo collage. You know, my grandson helped me do the one I did do. Now at home, I can't figure out the program! I make the collage, but can't figure out what to do with it next. I can't get to the place he was when I had lots of choices! I am so tech challenged. LOL Happy WOYWW #18

  11. Hi Ali, love your scrap pages. Can't help but notice that your wearing coats ... in July! Wonder what future generations will make of that :) However, it seems the plants don't mind a cool summer. My garden is blooming too. The new chair looks so comfy. Got to agree with you ... if I don't get photos scrapped soon after the event then it could be forever before they make it on to a page. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #52
