Just a few Easter cards and a Journal page on my desk this week
I have been having a bit of a ongoing problem with pain in my hands and so action at my work-desk has been limited, as my ability to grip & my dexterity has been something of a problem !
So as the cards had to be easy to put together, toppers from Hobbycraft were pressed into service !
Along with some wooden bunnies, eggs & lambs with ribbons and papers from the Country Crafts collection.
These lambs remind me of the ones we see in the fields around us here in West Wales !
This card isn't very Easter themed but I made it for my friend Helen,
who has just opened a cake making & baking shop - so when I saw
these papers they just demanded to be made into a card for her !
And finally I made a page for my Wanderlust Book - this challenge was "What I See When I Look In The Mirror" - which is an older, wrinklier, if wiser & slimmer - version of the women I think I am in my head !! Time wreaking its inevitable havoc !
Wishing you all a lovely Easter ! Ali xx
love your cards - and hope my namesake does well with her shop! Your Wanderlust page is great.
ReplyDeleteHi Ali, loving all the cards. The baking one is awesome. Regarding the stencil paste, I had exactly the same problem all the time. It was going to a demo day where Lucy Ellis from Sweet Poppy stencils was, and she gave out some great tips. I've put them all in my post' Sweet Poppy Stencils Demo Day'- there are quite a few, and it's along post, but trust me, her tips are worth their weight in gold!I haven't had a single crap piece since. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #29 xxx
ReplyDeleteSorry, that should read 'SCRAP', lol. xxx
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW - and still laughing at Shaz's comment above! Sorry to hear about the pain in your hands. Have you seen the doctor? When my hands are especially sore I wear some compression gloves. Hunkydory toppers are so useful. I haven't bought any for years, but still have some in my stash drawers. Ali x #63
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Easter cards. The cake one is my favourite! Hope your hands feel better soon.
