WOYWW - Busy Easter - no crafting !

Hi
Hope everyone had a great Easter weekend !
I had my sister, brother in law & 2 nephews down to Wales to stay with us - the weather was still freezing cold but at least it was mostly sunny !

So what with heading out and about with the boys there was no time for crafting - well Tom, my youngest nephew, loves to make a scrapbook of his adventures when he comes down to see me - so we had a happy Sunday afternoon scrapping - snug from the cold in the sunny conservatory !

We had a fun day Friday at the Dan-yr-Ogof - the National Showcaves of Wales - with some amazing caves to explore and a whole array of huge dinosaurs !! Tom knew the name of them all !!


Then yesterday we headed for Techniquest, the science museum in Cardiff - all hands on stuff for the boys to do ! And some for us grown ups too ! 

They had a thermal imaging camera set up which you could stand in front of & see your own image - yes that weird figure in the picture is me !!


So on my desk today there is only some new arrivals ... my new copy of Craft Stamper arrived today - and the new Art Journaling magazine. 
Also I had ordered Dina Wakely's new Journaling book - and as I have a weakness for the Tilda books - I just happened to drop her new Fairytale book into my basket !


At the back are a couple of sheets of alphabet stickers I grabbed when we took Tom to Toys R Us on Saturday ! My journal is to the left - hoping to get back to it this weekend but have a mass of things to scrap now !! And on Tilda's book a funny note from my sister - she is teasing me about my hoarding tendencies - she has said "here is an interesting little jar to keep interesting little things in ! "

    It sounds as if you had a wonderful Easter full of love and family. How cool that your nephew enjoys scrapbooking.

    The magazines and books look very interesting. I like the cover of the Journal book. See, that would draw me in!

    sounds like the kids and adults have had a fantastic time with outings and hands on stuff.

    We have Craft Stamper on subscription but we'd love to try the Art Journalling mag, We're off to have a look for it. Your Easter sounds lovely.

    Love CS - at the moment it's the only mag I subscribe to and I ALWAYS get inspired, however remotely, by it. What I make may bear absolutely no visible link to the mag, but often all it takes is a tiny germ of an idea and I'm off! Love your thermal image BTW. You do look a bit cold tho'!

    Hi Ali, I didn;t get any crafting done over Easter weekend either -definite withdrawal symptoms! Couldn;t wait to get in there for a couple of hours yesterday, but probably won;t get any more time until friday :-(

    Good grief, I haven't been to Dan yr Ogof for years!!! Not since my lads were an awful lot younger...good to see the dinosaurs are still there! And Tecniquest is fab too...I have spent many happy hours there....happy days :)

    "Interesting little things" indeed! It sounds like you had fun and busy days - the 'weird photo' is awesome, it works with heat I guess? I would love to have one of myself, must check out the museums in the Netherlands - I'm sure there's a 'technical' one somewhere. I love seeing the magazines you bought.     Its only my second week doing WOYWW. I'm late as I have had two huge busy days and just had no time to get to the computer. As well as when Julia posts the WOYWW post I am at work and its already in the evening here on Wednesday by then LOL. Love the images from Wales...I really like cave trips too and the boys seem to have had fun at the science place...oh and you LOL. Have fun with the new goodies.
