I normally post on a Tuesday night but yesterday we had colleagues from all over Europe on site at work for their annual sales meeting & we were out for dinner last night ...
Tonight was our first scrapclub of the Autumn term & it was lovely to see the girls again !
We had a great time catching up on our various summer activities !
And they were lovely and brought me a birthday cake - complete with candles & singing !
A bit early but I am stretching my birthday out over a month so this was a lovely surprise !
In amongst all our gossiping I even got a quick layout done !
On my desk tonight I have the envelope I decorated for my Auntie's card ..
I saw this field of sunflowers - right by our council recycling tip !
This maybe normal in some of the more warm & sunny parts of the world - but believe me this is not normal for West Wales !! I thought they were such an uplifting gorgeous sight & wanted to share them with you !
Take care & enjoy your week ! Ali x
Well, happy early birthday!
ReplyDeleteThe sunflowers do look cheery and I love that envelope!

A month of birthday will give you time to practice properly for the actual day, allowing you to iron out any potential pitfalls!!! We think we'll have a year long practice for ours. ;)
ReplyDeleteEach summer a neighbor has a garden of sunflowers, always amazes me how they turn each day. Kim 38 Thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteYou look like you are having a great time!!! Happy b-day in advance. What a fabulous project on your desk. Love the colors that I see there.

Fabulous photo of the sunflowers, they always look so cheerful and bright, someone must have dumped a dead head and the seeds all took! I like the idea of stretching the birthday celebrations out... just not the adding another year on! Happy WOYWW from Annette #2
ReplyDeleteI agree! Stretch that birthday out. Everyday should be a celebration... not just for a day or a month. Blessings! The sunflowers are gorgeous. So happy you got to enjoy this unusual sight in your homeland. Creative Blessings! ~Kelly #105
ReplyDeleteA pleasure to sing to you Ali! Will play with the gelli plates when you get back. Maybe the men could go to footie? here's to more cake and singing... Enjoy
