WOYWW - Sun Soaked Boxathon
Well we had a gorgeously sunny weekend - and as Much Beloved wasn't feeling top notch we were able to spend a very relaxed and chilled out weekend !
Apart from watering & a little dead-heading the flowers, I decided to turn blind eye to the weeds and ignore working in the garden !!
Here you can see my purple & pink theme in mid-summer !!
Instead I sat out in the sunshine and crafted a box-a-thon !
Well four of the card in a box style cards !
The first is for my Dad - his birthday is today - and he loves his garden and spends all his spare time out tending it - so I chose this Amanda Loverseed Shed Stamp & created this card for him.
My Mum & Sister both have birthday's next month - so I took the chance to get their cards made too as we have a busy few weekends ahead of us which will give little time for crafty endeavours !
Mum loves her garden birds & feeds them everyday !
This looks a bit cluttered on the photo but it looks better in real life !
My sister's is girl-stuff - dresses & cupcakes !
The final card is still under wraps - so I will have to show you later !
I also made a couple of items for the Summer of Colour.
Week One colour-combo was Turquoise & Yellow with an accent of fuchsia pink - this little Journal Page was in honour of all that sunshine and was a catch up page for Journal 52 !
Week Three is Lavender, Grey with a dark purple accent.
This is a Lavinia Stamps scene-scape paper & their free stamps which I bought in a magazine a couple of months ago !
Still have Week Two to create - Teal & Coral with a white accent !
Look away now Lynda - no peaking until I pass yours over tomorrow !!
As finally I created this months entry in Lynda & my Alphabet ATC Challenge - this month I had N !
Well have a great crafty week !

Sorry to hear your DH is feeling poorly. Give him my love. Your garden is looking spectacular, what a nice place to sit and craft. Photographing those cards is hard. They always look better in real life!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous projects, love the cards! I've not done this weeks SOC yet being out on Monday! Glad you're enjoying the garden and not working too hard in this weather - it looks fabulous!!

ReplyDeleteYour garden is a picture, the roses are fantastic this year aren't they. I meant to just sit in mine too, but then had to do a bit and ended up digging up a border, phew!!
ReplyDeleteLove your boxes, they look fantastic and the Lavinia too. We were doing the same last week.

I do love your work Ali - I think it's because it's got a very strong graphic style to it which really floats my boat! The sunshine piece is really fun :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd your garden is gorgeous...mine is like wilderness, sigh....!
