WOYWW - Busy Bank Holiday !

So lovely to have an extra day last weekend !
Even squeezed in some crafty time at my desk !
Saturday we headed for Birmingham - via a great Garden centre en route to buy my veggie plants for the season ! - and went to Mark Knopfler's concert.
We have been fans since his Dire Straits days and have been going to his tour concerts since before we were married - so nearly 25 years !

Sunday was travelling back, a little shopping and then working in the garden to get all the new plants out - and I worked on the May Tag Challenge Lynda & I are doing - this month was "Dylusions backgrounds and Distressing" - and I was in a Blue mood (not in a bad way!!) so hence the beach & sea theme !

On Monday, after more work in the garden and a trip to the tip (such a glamorous life I lead !) we headed out for swimming, then down to Laugharne for a walk along the estuary down by Dylan Thomas's boathouse.

But just home in time to make Dad's Father's Day card - it's also his birthday in June so that one is on the list next !

So on my desk this week you can see projects underway and my stack of the new Distress Ink pads - all labelled of course - I don't feel the need to justify my OCD on this as I know loads of you label them too !!

And stamps going for £1 each at the Range ! Rude not to buy a few !

And this photo is a work in progress - more of this later !!

Hope you have a great crafty week ! Ali x

  1. Not sure how you managed to fit so much into a weekend, even with an extra day! I wish there was a Range round here (although it's maybe as well!) Have a great week. Happy WOYWW Helen

  2. Wow, that is quite a haul you got at the Range...never heard of that shop before. I am intrigued by the work in progress...I still need to get my head round Father's day...but then I have a month...last minute panic is my usual modus operandi! Love to you and your DH. Happy 6th WOYWW anniversary. PS: did you forget the * after your name...cos I should be sending to you then...I will anyway as I think our post is back to "normal" and I must get your box to you which I promised ages ago! #26

I’m still travelling but managed to have internet today so I’m visiting as many of you as I can. Happy anniversary all! Six years is quite a long time.

  8. I think Blue is my default mood for cards...I have to mentally force myself to pick other colours on some days! Love that you and Lynda make time to do challenges still, you are both so busy. And no, no need to explain about ink pad labels...even I've scrawled names on the sides..not quite as sophisticated, but it works for me!

  11. Sounds to me like you made good use to the bank holiday. And I had to laugh about going to the tip. That';s actually more fun than I get on most days (grin).

  13. Hi Ali, I'm a huge fan of Dire Straits too but never been to a performance. Your weekend sounds super and lucky you to be able to walk along the side of that estuary - it looks beautiful. If it stops raining long enough some day soon I'll be able to get out into the garden again. Your tags are lovely, even if you were in a blue mood, and I love the image on the card for your father. Belated Happy WOYWW 6 - I'm slowly but surely visiting everyone still. Hugs, Elizabeth x #54
