WOYWW - Paris In Summer !

Well sadly no crafting going on this past weekend - but happily it was because we were in Paris for the weekend !

We went to visit old friends who live 40 minutes west of the city & as Much Beloved had never been to Paris we headed to see the Sacre Coeur Basilica and wander around Montmartre a little.

Then down to the Eiffel Tower area to take a boat on the Seine - it proved a great way to see the city - and not too much battling over the cobbled streets with the wheelchair !

A drink at a cafe in Montmartre ..
Drifting under the bridges on the Seine ...
And saw some of the lovely Parisian architecture ..

And the market close by our friends house on Saturday morning was brilliant - who would shop at a supermarket with this yards away !

I love this time of year with the long warm evenings - our friends had a lovely terrace to their apartment and we spent both evenings out in the evening sun sipping wine !
And meeting our friends new Westie Puppy - Snowy !

And lunch in Versailles before we headed home - we couldn't visit the Palace as the cobbles were truly not wheelchair friendly for Much Beloved - but the magnificence of the gates alone gave a hint of the grandeur inside !

  8. I did not get to join in today as it just got away with me...Wednesday that is! My desk was a real tip this morning with many layers of project left overs, inks, dabbers, paper and the like. Took me an hour to get it all put back where it belongs! Nothing on it now! Quite remarkable, I should have taken before and after shots!

Paris in summer is fabulous...love the photos from the river. We never did that. How did you cope with all the stairs at Sacre Coeur? We went all the way to the palace on a Monday and they are closed on a Monday...long train trip for nothing! Went to the Picasso Museum instead cos we soon learned what "closed on Mondays" looked like on the museum map in French and avoided those places after that! Your French must have come in handy?

Love that photo at the cafe.

Gorgeous bundle of white fluff you have in your arms there too!

Hope we both have desks to show next week!

Love and hugs. (ps: sorry we beat you in the rugby...Luke opted to wear neither jersey on the day!)
