Oh no I here you say - yet another of her excuses! This year has been a complete wash out on the crafting front !
And then this week I had to come up to London on Sunday ready to attend a Food Technology and Innovation conference near St Pauls, so this is my 3rd night in a Premier Inn!
I did make a Mother's Day card on Saturday but didn't take a photo of it to show you as of yet.
So no crafty contributions this week but I have really enjoyed walking through this area up Ludgate Hill & round St Pauls Cathedral - so much history intermingled with the ultra modern.
Early this morning I went into the cathedral to have a quiet few minutes remembering a family friend who we lost a short time ago. A very uplifting way to start my day.
I enjoyed most of the conference - there are always some parts that suit everyone more then others - but some good ideas to build on.
Really hoping to get to some crafty stuff this weekend!
Have a great week Ali xx
shame there are no pics , but I am sure you will be back and crafting soon! Helen 5

Oh how I wish to visit London once again, it must have been over 20 years since I was there! Thanks for your visit to my blog Ali and yes, you understood my Dutch writing well! I will visit a creative (scrapbooking, crafting) trade show on Friday. Funny isn’t it, how we remember part/words of a language we learned in school long ago – I have that when I see French texts… some words come back to mind then and it always amazes me that with just a few words you usually can make up what the text is about. Happy woyww and a hug from Holland, Marit #47
ReplyDeleteSo glad you enjoyed your trip to London, Ali. It's many years since I went in St. Paul's Cathedral but it must have been very special to spend those precious moments remembering your friend in such a magnificient place.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind thoughts and for the hug - hugs are always most welcome!! Yes, it was horrendous getting so far down the admission process only to have my surgery postponed at the last moment, but it's worked out for the best in the long run, because my hubby and I now have a clear fortnight in the house without Mum, to rest and recover from all the recent stress, and prepare for my rescheduled surgery on 18th.
Happy belated 300th,

ReplyDeleteMay you find some crafty time :) Hugs Nikki 1 Happy WOYWW 300 too
ReplyDeleteDrats. I was in the process of writing a comment and I had to leave the site (real quick). The Cathedral is absolutely beautiful. What a wonderful place to pay tribute to your friend.
ReplyDeleteAs for frogging, I know all about it! I was over four inches in to the sweater when I had to start ripping out. Bummer. I discovered I can make the smaller size though so that's nice.
Thanks for visiting me already!
Happy belated 300 WOYWW
Hugs,
Kay
